About Lawyer

Sean Stepchuk is senior legal counsel at the Edmonton office.  He joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in 2011. Prior to this he worked in a general litigation practice at Dentons LLP. His area of practice is in civil litigation, including BI and PD liability claims.  Sean has appeared before the Alberta Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal, and has run several Queen’s Bench trials recently. He teaches Introduction to Law at the University of Alberta Faculty of Business, and is a licensed real estate agent. He is also part owner of a real estate investment company and a high-end athletic apparel company, and Co-founder/Director of Waste Free Edmonton Society.

Personal Interests

Sean is involved in a number of business ventures that keep him quite busy and challenged. Outside of work, he enjoy travelling with his wife, both within Canada and internationally, seeing interesting places and learning about different cultures. He spends a lot of time involved with outdoor activities both home and abroad, some of which include hiking, kayaking, skiing and scuba diving. Sean also likes to relax, spending evenings at home with his wife, son, and cat, Floppers.
