About Lawyer

Kuvanya Pillay is Counsel at the Toronto office, having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in 2022. Prior to this, she articled at a consumer protection agency established by the Ontario government. Her area of practice is insurance defence litigation. Kuvanya received a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree from Western University in 2018. She went on to obtain a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2021 and was called to the Bar in 2022.  She spent her time in law school as an Executive on Queen’s Health Law Association and was a mentor for Queen’s Women in Law. She was also a Queen’s Law Ambassador and a member of the Indigenous Law Students Association.

Kuvanya has appeared at various levels of court including the Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court. 

Personal Interests

Kuvanya’s personal interests include board games, gardening, special effects make-up, and reading.
