About Lawyer

Jacob is Litigation Counsel at the Toronto office having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers as an articling student in 2022. Jacob practices in the area of insurance defence litigation. Prior to joining Aviva Trial Lawyers, Jacob was a summer student at a boutique litigation firm specializing in health and administrative law matters. Jacob received his undergraduate degree in Politics and Governance from Ryerson University, graduating with distinction in 2018. He went on to obtain his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in 2022. While at law school, Jacob co-founded Osgoode’s Health Law Association, participated in student government, and sat on the executive of the Ontario Bar Association’s health law section. Throughout law school, Jacob also volunteered both at Ryerson University, serving as a mentor to students interested in applying to law school, as well as at an international legal non-profit organization focused on promoting the rights of health workers globally.

Jacob’s personal interests include travel, movies, coffee, writing, and basketball.
