About Lawyer

Elaine Navarrete is Senior Counsel at the Toronto Office having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in 2024.  She was a partner at an insurance defence firm where she practiced for over 21 years before joining Aviva Trial Lawyers.  Elaine obtained her medical degree in Beijing, China and worked as a physician for two years before being admitted to Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997.  She received her LL.B. degree in 2000 and completed her articles at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto.  Her area of practice focuses exclusively in insurance defence and personal injury litigation, specializing in claims involving motor vehicle accidents, property damages, occupiers’ liability, product liability and medical malpractice.

Elaine has been involved in motions, trials and appeals before various levels of Courts and participates in continuing legal education seminars offered by the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society.

Elaine speaks fluent Mandarin and conversational Spanish.
