About Lawyer

Christine Smith is litigation counsel at Aviva’s Calgary office. She joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in May 2019. Prior to joining Aviva, Christine worked as a litigation associate at Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP. Her area of practice is general insurance defence litigation with a focus on motor vehicle accidents and personal injury defence. Christine received undergrad degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2005 and St. Thomas University in 2007. She went on to obtain her LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 2010. She was called to the bar in New Brunswick in June 2011 and in Alberta in October 2011.  Christine has appeared before the provincial courts in Alberta, as well as the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
