About Lawyer

Abigail Newcombe is Counsel at the Toronto office having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers as an articling student in 2020. Abigail practices in the area of insurance defence litigation, having carriage over, or assisting with, files concerning motor vehicle accidents, property damage, premise liability issues, and medical malpractice. 

Abigail received her Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Politics, from Acadia University in 2017. She went on to obtain her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2020 and was called to the bar in 2021. While in law school, Abigail was the Executive Director, External, for the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service, where she represented students who were accused of academic and non-academic offences. In this position, Abigail also assisted with drafting new University policies. 

Personal Interests

Abigail’s personal interests include watching reality television, attending various fitness classes, and finding new coffee shops.
